Winter | A poem

It starts around mid-November goes on till Feb,
Brings in the Christmas spirit and new year as well
As the snow starts to fall down
It’s a child’s dream that a snow storm comes and closes the schools all around

We start wearing cardigans, hoodies and jackets
drinking something hot
curled up inside our blankets
like babies in a cot

Soon it closes to an end,
The white blanket slowly disappears,
We stop wearing our comfy clothes
and I wait for it to arrive again

  1. This reminds me of one of my old poems:

    Glacial weather,
    Water disguising itself,
    Snowflakes showering.

    Chilly winds blowing,
    Skies decorated by hail,
    Radiating white.

    Mice making merry,
    Squirrels prancing,overjoyed,
    Trees glistening white.

    Christmas arriving,
    Overwhelming joy spreading,
    People’s hearts dazzling.

    Nicely penned! 🙂
